A pub in the Dordogne owned by Thierry & Amanda
Is the subject of tonight's Cauchemar en Cuisine on M6, she's English and he's French. Does anyone know the pub?

Contrairement à son habitude, quand il est arrivé, le chef a été agréablement surpris par la décoration "so british" et le charme à l'anglaise d'Amanda........
It reminds me of the comments that I frequently recieve that I have le bon gout with the decoration, I dont think I have at all its just the bar is set dismally low.
Editted, that reads like I dont think Amanda is charmante which could not be further from the case, I love the way she speaks French, she has a great accent, still recognisably British but she pronounces all the words so correctly with super intonation.

I am enjoying the Cauch en cuis' thats on next, Lequin in Ch'Nord!
And if you think she is cold and unwelcoming the Chef célèbre would have to spend 10 years with most of them around here to bring them up to her standard
I go to the Ch'Nord to get a good ambience and warm service!

FFS you should not have started this thread.
Ch 6 has the chef in Lille. The kitchen is filthy and I do not think we will eat out again
Ever.

I have just watched it to the end Mysty.
The before of that place was ten times better than any of the restos around here, even when she had a face like a slapped ar5e she gave a warmer welcome than you could ever get once you cross from the Nord/Pas de Calais to the Somme.
Lille, Lesquin, Villeneuve D'ascq, Henin Beaumont, Valenciennes, Roubaix, Tourcoing etc are where I go for a decent meal in good company.

FFS, please start other threads like this or keepposting on the whats on French TV thread as I need encouragement to start watching French TV again, I never regret it when I make the effort and programs like that are great.
