If you are thinking of serious farming, try this new tractor. A serious bit of kit.

Farmers new toy
I have experienced a mid winter whiteout on the high tundra between Alta and Skaidi, I tell you, it's no big deal there is nothing to see, anyway, but I must go back there as I think I left the lights on.

Polarengineer, sorry, not impressed, I do prefer the still going strong type of tractor:

Re: Farmers new toy
Now thats my style, at the age of 10 I drove a new fordson tractor pulling a binder just like the one in your pic, drove because I wasn't strong enough to handle the binder controls, remember when the ferguson pony came out in the uk and every farmer laughed at it calling it a toy, little did they know how over the years fergies took over.RobertArthur wrote: ↑Tue Sep 01, 2020 3:00 pmPolarengineer, sorry, not impressed, I do prefer the still going strong type of tractor:

My old school Deutz tractor is brilliant. Air cooled with mechanical diesel injection pump. Absolutely nothing to go wrong. If it didn't need something to turn over the engine to start it, it wouldn't need a battery.

Re: Farmers new toy

Did read that multiple inexpensive remotely controlled mini tractors, like drones, may be used in the future. The idea is that if one breaks down it won't be a disaster and they will be better for the soil.
What a shame the the engine's components have been painted over instead of being properly detailed. They did the same with an old Ferguson on Shed and Buried for a quick sale... very disappointing.
