It would just be the icing on the cake wouldn’t it, after Brexit, covid19....now an asteroid which actually has a possibility (tiny though it may be) to hit us, seems funny the possible date is the day before the election in the US. If you believe in a God, you’d maybe think he is having a “will I or won’t I” moment, dependent perhaps on if Trump looks likely to win again and in that case, I say go for it, wipe us out, the human race deserves it, give something else on the planet a chance to do better.

I have a certain grudging agreement with your idea but I'd rather the asteroid could wait until I have finished a few more of my renovation projects.
Visit historic Barnard Castle. Lockdown day trips now available.

The way 2020 is going it will probably hit us but rather than obliterate us it will cause huge damage. I can't see anything as humane as instant death on the horizon.

Yes and perhaps we could hope that Trump was having a burger king lunch with Boris Johnson at the critical moment

Children please behave! - the space rock in question might make a big bang and rattle a few windows and spread a few pebble meteorites but is not anything like as big as the Chelyabinsk meteor which was about 20 metres diameter. No direct injuries from that one, mainly cuts form broken windows etc. So Donald Trump and Boris Johnson are safe as are the rest of us.
