Polar Engineer’s first post sounds about right, but, one never knows.
What I do know is that NB has mixed with some very dodgy people in his time.

Nah not me. I've mostly been nearly right, it's a bit like stretching mm to cm. Ho hum, another- with ice please.
I have experienced a mid winter whiteout on the high tundra between Alta and Skaidi, I tell you, it's no big deal there is nothing to see, anyway, but I must go back there as I think I left the lights on.
