Really enjoyed the first series and hope, if it returns, the next will be as good. For me DCI Gene Hunt came out with best ever one liner: “He’s got more fingers in pies than a leper on a cookery course.” wonderful, politically incorrect stuff, trust there’ll be more to come.

Sounds like my cup of tea, am surprised I have never seen it, has it ever been repeated on any of the Sky channels?

That was a good one I admit. One could compile a book of th erset and still not cover it all!Crazy Diamond wrote: ↑Thu Jul 30, 2020 4:28 pmReally enjoyed the first series and hope, if it returns, the next will be as good. I really cannot see a new series, shot in these days, can continue the non pc vein. Especially regarding women where the incorrrectness is only how the cops in the 70s and 80s know how! It will be a brave director..

But the Quattro has to be there. Sorry, its not the same with a sales rep car.

I can confirm that Dean said yesterday the Quattro and the Cortina will both be in the new series.
I only worked out in the last one of Ashes 2 Ashes what the ending was going to be.
Ld if you have access to iplayer you will be able to catch up on previous series. As far as I know it has never been on Sky.
For everyone, like me, of a certain age it was good to see how life was in the 70s and 80s, it was a lovely reminder. Also hard to
believe in life today with being so PC that they got away with what they did.

Sam Tyler to Gene Hunt telling him he's:
An overweight, over-the-hill, nicotine-stained borderline alcoholic homophobe with a superiority complex and an unhealthy obsession with male bonding
Gene Hunt:
You make that sound like a bad thing.

I'm in the same minority because I'm not prepared to pay for an effective VPN or whatever technical mumbo jumbo is needed to get Iplayer.Le Démerdeur wrote: ↑Thu Jul 30, 2020 8:07 pmThats the explanation then, no I dont have i-player, I seem to be in a minority.manonthemoon wrote: ↑Thu Jul 30, 2020 7:59 pmLd if you have access to iplayer you will be able to catch up on previous series.
