What elsie said.

I switch among Opera, Chrome and Edge. One day I'm going to start using Edge or Chrome more, but at the moment I mostly use Opera, because that's where my most up-to-date bookmarks are.

Some people mistrust Google so don't like Chrome; some mistrust MS so won't use Edge. I'm more concerned about cookies as a risk to my security, to be honest, and they seem pretty much inescapable.

If you find you like Edge, and prefer it to PM, I would use it.
Same old nonsense.

The latest version of EDGE on Windows 10 is a great improvement. It now looks very similar to Chrome and is pretty quick

Edge is based on Chromium not Chrome. Chromium is open source https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chromium_(web_browser). Chrome is the version tailored by Google to include all the additional Google advertising, etc. functionality. You can download the unadulterated Chromium from https://chromium.woolyss.com
Yes - brain went to sleep before body last night! I have installed Chromium on Linux - but prefer Firefox across the platforms.

As I recall the original IE in Windows 95 was also based on another browser - Mosaic. And now I read Microsoft is trying to incorporate a Linux Subsystem into Windows 10 as well.

That is heresy and could get you extradited

We use Edge on the Laptop and Tablet - It's fast and reliable and gives you a range of current news stories under the Search box - we like it. :D :D :D

I've been using DuckDuckGo via Firefox for some time. No tracking and no cookies.
