A remarkable lady.

Post by Stompie »

One of my cousins has been researching the paintings of one of our great aunts. Today I received an email with information about family members she had painted.
One of her subjects was another great aunt, this remarkable lady. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sybil_Lewis
I had never heard of her before but what an incredible life she led.

I was hoping you were going to refer to Mrs M Thatcher.

Mary Thatcher was the daughter of my junior school's headmaster. I didn't know she'd become noteworthy.

Ah.. Interesting but I was thinking of Marjorie Thatcher, our Akela in the cub scouts.

How intriguing to discover so much about a relative you weren't even aware existed.

I suspect the boys were just jealous. :? :?
