I'd happily live ON Great Britain but not IN the UK. I hope as I have done for the past 30 or so years that the UK ceases to exist in its present form.

But you moved back to a decent part of the UK. Mostly when people are talking about UK on here they mean SE England and forget that places like North Yorks, the Highlands and Islands, the Borders, Snowdonia, Fermanagh etc are in the UK but completely unlike Greater London and the SE.

You might have missed it but the United kingdom is independent and broke. It's never been deeper in debt than it is now and April the deficit was the highest monthly figure ever.
