There is bugger all work in the areas where these factories are so whole communities will be shafted. Again and again northern France gets stuffed - mines gone, steel works gone, tyres, , heavy mechanical gone. And the government hasnt done much to bring new, modern employment. Except what ir around Toyota.
But go across into Flanders and it is full of factories. One might ask why.

In all of this it is worth remembering that Sunderland is Nissan's most productive plant in the world. I have no idea why but it is
:D Whatever the eventual post Brexit trade deals people in the UK will still buy cars. No import tariffs to pay if they're made in Sunderland.
