Curious.

I'm presuming the operating system is up to date (you can check in Settings).

You could try deleting the wifi password and link, turning the tablet off, turning it back on and reconnecting to wifi - because that would be my next step.
Same old nonsense.

Being totally non-technical, that’s what I do any time I have problems with my tablet or laptop, Flaneur.

Interesting link. I have already done a factory re boot with everything starting at zero including logging on and password.
I haven't turned of my PC but will try that later.
The terrasse is calling and, combined with a crèpe au saumon and a bottle of Gato Negro Cabernet Sauvignon, I shall be otherwise occupied for a while.

Well I deconnected the PC and switched off the tablet. Fired both up again and at the moment all is well on tune in and BBC4 sourced via Google.
Tunein looks good for quick connexion to radio stations without searching for them. Thanks to all. Hope this is the end of this thread. :D
