A question on France's current version of Who wants to be a Millionaire (at Home) tonight is worthy of a separate subject and discussion, perhaps.

The question: Who was chosen as Time magazine's personality of the 20th century?
A. Gandhi
B. Martin Luther King
C. Albert Einstein
D. Winston Churchill

I know you can google the answer, but I can see arguments for any one of them being chosen.

I guess Churchill, because without him the World would be a totally different place today.
Even though Einstein was a genius, his discoveries and theories would have eventually been made by others.

Presumably you are basing that on the outcome of WW2? In which case where would you rank Roosevelt and Stalin relative to Churchill?

Maybe - But they weren't - and Einstein's early work (not just on relativity) opened the way to to a lot of the massive advances in Physics and the other allied sciences that happened in the twentieth century.
