I posted this In November:
"In my street in London, in typical 1930s style, there are old wooden telegraph poles with copper telephone wires stretched out to all the houses. Not too long ago fibre 'cables' were pulled through existing cable ducts under the pavement. I, like some others in the road have since upgraded to 'Fibre To The Premises'. The old copper wire strung out from the pole has been replaced with a fibre one which terminates inside my house. I learned a lot about it all from the OpenReach guys who installed it all in 2 separate one man visits, total time 2 hours.
The maire in our village in France says we will get fibre there in 2021."
Does it help to answer the question ?
