land ownership

Post by Plog »

Hi

Having a bit of a boundary issue - need to establish who a parcel of land (number, etc known) belongs to but don’t want to involve the Mayor... ;)

Want to do it through the local cadastral, so to speak, but don’t seem to be able to find their contact details on line...

We were hoping for a nice form on-line but there does not appear to be one......

Any top tips.

We had to deal with boundary issues twelve years ago.
At that time it was necessary to go into the cadastral office.

Thanks for the quick reply Nifty..

Ah sadly we thought it might mean a visit, which we hoped to avoid/isn’t possible in the current circumstances......

I don't know if Geoportal.fr will give owner data, but worth a try

EDIT. Sorry keyboard for fat fingers required. Should be Geoportail.fr

I have experienced a mid winter whiteout on the high tundra between Alta and Skaidi, I tell you, it's no big deal there is nothing to see, anyway, I must go back there as I think I left the northern lights on.

You can have a look on line:
https://www.cadastre.gouv.fr/scpc/accueil.do

When a doubt or a conflict, the right expert is a "géomètre expert"
http://www.geometre-expert.fr/oge/les-a ... s-stu_5165

This guy comes and does a "bornage". He will measure all the plots and put flags in the ground along the exact boundaries.

Have a look at guide https://www.journaldunet.fr/patrimoine/ ... ent-faire/ and how to do find out the owner using https://www.impots.gouv.fr

From a quick search I also found this private service https://www.vos-demarches.com/demarche- ... 37082.html

If you have a notaire they can tell you who owns what in seconds from the land number.
JAF a geometre can charge 1000s to place bornes in the ground.

I know ! But sometimes you have no choice when the borders have vanished... It happened to a friend of mine who herited of a property. He couldn't go and see it for 20 years. When he went to visit, his plot had shrunk and his house was in the middle of a corn field. The farmers had ploughed closer and closer over the years. The notaire said he could do nothing and told him to ask a Géomètre to measure everything again and put marks such a way my friend could put up a fence in the right place

Absolutely, get the numéro cadastre from the gouv.fr site and ask a Notaire by e-mail, costs something silly like €8, they do an on line search and an extrait from the last acte de vente is with them in no time.

Did it last year on behalf of a UK resident owner to commence a déclaration de succession.
