Good morning
Seriously wondering how hard it would be to move back to the UK.
Have had a surreal encounter with admin at the hospital who, when I was rushed to Urgences a couple of weeks ago, and was unable to speak, apparently created another identity for me, (they spelt my name wrong) and can't delete it, so I now have to prove I'm who I say I am(and who it says I am on my carte vitale!) Already jumped through all these hoops years ago. Don't think I have the emotional energy to do it all again. Was almost refused access...

Psychologically at the lowest ebb I have been at for some time...

Is this connected to your unique name situation or something else?

Oh, no. That is just one of a long line of things. Like yesterday being asked to download and send a justificatif de domicile to my internet provider, who have been billing my for the past 8 years! Honestly. When I called and suggested they just use one of those bills I was informed it had to be something else. Now come on, you couldn't make it up!

Nothing is ever simple.

I went to the council offices about a council tax query once. I was asked for proof of address so gave them a council tax bill which I was told wasn't acceptable as they may have got the address wrong !

Like I said, nothing is ever simple...
Though maybe the UK is now as bad...
In the meantime
GOOD MORNING ALL!
Quite astonished that I had more than 7 hours sleep.
Went to bed with a really bad backache. Took a dolipran, which is unusual for me, and woke up this morning feeling - well, maybe 'fine' is not totally accurate, but considerably better.
There is a 20m+ crane in the grounds of the chateau next door, totally doing away with my privacy... hope they don't start work too early. seeing me wandering around in the altogether is not a pretty sight...Well, hopefully they wont be here until Monday anyway...
