But that's N26 not Revolut, or am I missing something?

Well if they were that still doesn't explain why my exchange/transfer was so quick early afternoon yesterday.
:D That's really good to hear Sue because 3 minutes is fine. Maybe they put the transfers through manually so it depends on the volume of traffic and staffing.

 The link that SF gave does say this...
The Monzo and Revolut rival, which is valued at $3.5bn after raising $670m in total, said all UK accounts will be shut down by 15 April this year.

Oh gosh .. major mea culpa on my part .. I was busy making tea and researching and trying to keep up here so a totally confused post resulted ..

Have now served up, and eaten, our supper so I ready to admit my error.

Apologies to Simonflys and anyone else who read my erroneous post.

Use Revolut - way better ! Instantaneous transfers GBP->GBP->EUR.

I binned it after less than 24 hours, it was clunky to use and not as good as I was led to believe. I would Starling if it was available to French residents.
The amount of personal information that I had to give Revolut to close my account was far more than anyone would need to clone my identity!

I've no idea what explains the different timings, but I used TW yesterday and was seriously impressed at how much faster things had become.

According to the three email confirmations:

1.35 UK bank "we've sent the money to TW"
1.35 TW "we've sent the money to Boursorama"
1.35 Boursorama "we've received the money".

(Yes, that is all at 1.35pm yesterday).

Once you get to know your way around the Revolut app it is easy to go to the section of interest.

Having tried various exchange companies and cards in the last couple of years, I've found Revolut to be the quickest route to get money from my UK bank account to my French bank account - often in a single day (although the French bank doesn't show it until the following morning).

There is an update on Revolut in the EU here https://blog.revolut.com/how-we-protect ... om-brexit/

I have used Worldwide Currencies for many years and, as Yorkshire Bank won't allow me to transfer more than £1,000/day I never expect to receive the money straight away.

I bought £5,000 worth of euros over the phone yesterday when the BBC rate dropped a quarter of a cent after several days rising, and got 1.19 for a rate of a smidge over 1.20. Settlement day is next Friday and it always arrives promptly.

I always deal with the same bloke and haven't had to send the documents back signed for years.

Well, no surprise there Domi! Highly unlikely you're going to like anything I do😜😜

Revolut allows me to move GBP from the UK to my GBP account with them. I can then transfer into EUR at great rates whenever I choose to. Whole process literally takes seconds. I also link Revolut to GooglePay on my phone. Added to that I use their annual travel / medical insurance, airport lounge access and savings vaults. Really slick with superb in-app live customer service. Love em 👍👍
