Spring's a comin!

Post by Biggles »

Drumming Woodpeckers and 4 King Alfred daffodils in full bloom! Better start trimming the hedges before nesting starts! (As if there wasn't enough to do!)

Another sign: I managed to mow the back lawn yesterday. :good: :D

Lizards running around on the wall presumably enjoying the sun on their backs. Beware - February can often be a very cold month. Ne'er cast a clout 'til may (hawthorn) is out.

If you look at the weather for mid to late February snow is forecast, not quite ready for the pool just yet.

Very true ajm.
In the Gers, deep SW, one Feb. we had 2+ weeks of below zero temperatures. The pressure gauge on our propane tank froze up. So no gas for heating, hot water or cooking.

We've found at least one tick on the dog every day this week. We really could do with a good hard frost.
Having said that these mild, sunny days are very, very pleasant!

Spring shouldn’t be a’comin... Far too early, and for the last few years we’ve lost plants/trees that have started budding/coming into leaf and then get killed by cold in Feb and March.

If you want your fruit to be cheap this year, then also not good news as end up with lost blossom so poor fruit crops.

our weather today is awful after yesterday's sun

It's tipping down, grey, windy and chilly - I don't think Spring is coming just yet
