https://www.impots.gouv.fr

In my opinion it’s worth forking out for the Connexion Tax Guide. You can download it from their web site.

Unfortunately this is such an open ended question there is no easy answer. Maybe the best thing to do would be to go to your nearest Impôts and ask them.

Normally you go to the tax office and they give you the appropriate blank forms .. once you have declared your income then you will be sent forms filled in with your details ie name, address etc etc the following year.

The main form is blue and is a 2042. If you have income/pension from the UK or elsewhere you will need to complete a pink form 2047 too. Other forms such as the 2044 need to be completed depending on the kind of income you have.

Eventually they will be downloadable from the impots web-site but not all of them are ready yet.

see https://droit-finances.commentcamarche. ... t-en-ligne There is a link on that page but it is not live yet. The forms won't be available until the end of April.

You have to declare your world-wide income, even if it has already been taxed elsewhere (but you will get a credit for that)

You will also need form 3196 to declare your non-french bank and savings accounts (including life insurance and pensions, etc)

Forms 2047K and as elsie says 3916 may also be needed but I'm not sure that these will be available online along with 2042 at the end of April. :good: However, 2042 is a good start.

Unless it's changed for a first declaration you need to go to the tax office and ask for the forms.

I downloaded the forms for my first return. The delay with the 2042 forms is because the tax office wants people to use the copy that they send out that already has many of the fields completed. First time users will have to wait until the 2042 is avaliable online or get on from their local tax office.

AnO is right; in the old days you had to go to the Impôts yourself but elsie's link says that 2042 will now be available online. The question is will the others be available too.
