Lalala Napoli

Post by FrenchForumSurvivor » Sun Jul 14, 2019 9:11 pm

If anyone understands the topic title, then they've no doubt seen them. Went to Concarneau yesterday evening for the feux d'artifice for 14 juillet (sensibly done on the Saturday, as to do it on the actual day when many work the following day is not the best idea), while waiting watched the musical spectacle in the carpark, billed as "transe volcanique napolitaine", the group was Lalala Napoli, who have apparently produced three albums. Instruments were drums, two accordions, double bass, violin, electric guitar, and recorder, plus there was a moment when a thick chain was used as an 'instrument' as well, very effectively. In the long run, would have preferred to stay listening to the group than watching the fireworks, frankly.

This one of the things they played, but there was no saxophone last night.

Cappello, definitely not spelt right has helped bring accordion music back into main stream music. His latest with Kenji will be a hit but he has some very good solo ones.
And I am not into accordion music.
The lalalals sound okay.

A cappella is singing without musical instruments.

My dad played accordion, both piano and chromatic, as well as many other instruments without ever having had a lesson. Mainly Irish music but also he played in dance bands during WW2.

We went to La Rochelle, the main band playing seemed like it was more a Celtic funeral

My spelling was slightly out.
His name is Claudio Capeo

b33jay, mysty meant Claudio Capéo - he did say "definitely not spelt right" - and was talking about the song below.
