A cornucopia of sporting events today

Post by Tom » Sun Jul 14, 2019 1:26 pm

1. The Wimbledon men's singles final
2. The net ball World Cup
3. The British Grand Prix
4. Le Tour de France
5. The World Cup cricket final

 So spoiled for choice I think it's probably best to wash the car instead, before they impose a hose pipe ban. Tomorrow I won't really care a jot who won what but a nice clean driving machine will be a pleasure to behold.
And that was good advice, good advice.

I don't rate England for the Singles Final unless they escape from the peloton during pitstops.

That’s probably a contradiction in terms.

 Well, the car's still dirty.

:? Watched the fantastic final at Wimbledon and was quite pleased that Novak won because he had to fight both Federer and the crowd. Was very pleased that England won too in a really thrilling super-over finish. Glad I didn't miss either. Lewis led the F1 parade at Silverstone and should also be congratulated.
And that was good advice, good advice.

Nobody watched the cricket

That was the best cricket match I have ever seen. In fact it was the best sporting event I have ever seen.

What a match.

That was pure sporting history.

I had intended to watch the cricket but I couldn't take my eyes of the wet paint. And it was still in the tin.

No one could ever say that was boring.

Just because the Scots have no sporting heritage don't mock the English. :D
