Life in prison for watering the garden

Post by mysty » Sat Jul 13, 2019 4:11 pm

I am sure it will not be as bad as that, the creuse has a complete ban on watering plants ect.
That's not just from mains water includes taking water from wells, lakes and rivers.
Demon morning poo walk takes us through some really nice veg allotments outside Saint Amand.
One old guy has just left his potatoes to die they have started going brown.
Not sure what the punishment would be if your caught using water.

Up to €1500 for a first offence. Up to €3000 for subsequent offences.
Collected rainwater can be used. Does anyone have some I can borrow?

My garden is slowly turning into a desert.

No point watering it.

Climate change is real and happening.

Oh dear. I'm still using a hose for a bed of dahlias. I try to restrict it. I tried to find out if we were on a ban but as posted in another thread, the Perigueux website didn't say restrictions are in place.

What about swimming pools that need frequent topping up?

Please don't grass me up 😐😣

Désolée...too far to pipe :D The pump is running 24/7 here from the farm lake that I was given the use of when I bought the property. It's fed by an inexhaustible spring 8-) Still got cracks in the lawn that you could break an ankle in, though  Roll on the next thunderstorm!
