I think Nifty's clue is meant to be written as below, he will no doubt correct me if I'm wrong. Why it's got two parts to it and the '&' instead of 'and', I'm not sure.

I can’t think of a clue that won’t make the answer too obvious right now but I will work on it.
Titus’ silver resource could be fake, but, it wasn’t. It was the best.
