Still, somewhere to live with unvarying electricity and an unending work by RaphaÃl. (6,7)
Perhaps this will be less obscure.

Is the spelling of RaphaÃl like that relevant?

But it is also sometimes like this; Raphaël.

:? I've been completely bamboozled by this clue from the very start.

Camper caravan perhaps?

Half your answer is correct Tom

It wasn't my intention to bamboozle. As always, when you know the answer the clue seems easy .......

It's static caravan but I don't see how we get caravan. Am I having a blonde moment?

There's an album by someone called Raphael whose title is Caravane. But that seems very obscure.

I think it's Caravane cut short (unending). :D Static sounds perfect.

 It's really a very good clue now that all is finally revealed... Nifty would be proud!

Yes Raphaël, (also known as RaphaÃl), sang a very popular song called Caravane quite recently. As Tom said 'unending', so take off the e. I didn't think that was particularly obscure. :? The first word of the clue 'Still' I thought would indicate 'static'. Now, I'm off to do battle with your soldiers ...............
