Thrace it is indeed, rabbit: "most of the" = "th", "people" = "race", and Thrace is "a region of SE Europe, corresponding to the S part of the ancient country: divided by the Maritsa River into Western Thrace (Greece) and Eastern Thrace (Turkey)".
