Express post from Oz

Post by Crystal » Tue Nov 06, 2018 4:34 pm

My sister posted a letter to me from Australia, by express international post, on 29th October and in just 2 days it had travelled half way round the globe to France!...BUT...it then took SIX days to travel half way down France to my address! How disgraceful is that?

Sounds about right :(

You have the best and worst examples of postal services there.

In the late 1970s I received an aerogram from England at Post Restante Bangkok that was posted 36 hours previously.
I was amazed how quickly it came. I suppose it would have taken longer with a French letter.

Would i be stretching it if I said that I hope it wasn't used when you got it. :D
