Leaving soon on journey from N. Charente via Poitiers and then motorways to Cherbourge for ferry. Anyone got info on hold ups on that route or at the ferry ports? We had friends traveling yesterday and they were held up on motorway by slow moving lorries and very slow moving at the tunnel, plenty of army about they said.

Have at look at a combination of all these pages, they can all be moved about, expanded and zoomed.

We came down from Caen to Angouleme yesterday with no problems. Only saw two lots of protesters on an exit road. Police at every toll no problems.
Good luck.

In case you think this has stopped the GJ is still going strong.

I almost had a free run on the autoroute the GJ had the barriers open at the Montlucon exit. They asked for the ticket but we have one of the electronic passes so still payed. The gendarme were standing beside them and did nothing. Every speed camera on the 2.5 hour drive was vandalised or covered up.

How quick would the drive have been if you didn't keep stopping at the cameras ? :P

After dire warnings from the interior ministry of the penalties, swingeing fines and prison sentences available to the courts for damaging or vandalising ̶r̶o̶a̶d̶s̶i̶d̶e̶ ̶c̶a̶s̶h̶ ̶m̶a̶c̶h̶i̶n̶e̶s̶ speed cameras quoting all the ordinances etc, I saw on a video that the GJ's are just standing in front of the cameras, rendering them ineffective. There is no penalty available in law for doing this! Have to laugh!

"I am not sure Macron will last they will not give up"

It's the policies of one man, who hopes, by imposing his policies on the population, to curry favour with his future employer, versus the lives and aspirations of millions of citizens of France.

I'm not sure he can last either.
