Just reading about legendry fretless bass player Pino Pallandrino who first got really noticed on Paul Young's " Wherever I lay my hat" reminded me how much I used to love Paul's music & Pino's bass so I've been revisiting their 'stuff' for the last couple of hours.
Listen to the bass on this & if it doesn't move you, you ain't got no soul.

Now you are bringing back memories whyme, first saw him before he started his solo career, Qtips were great to see live, oh to go back to just starting uni again... :P

I like brass band music & love soul but the two together like this reminds me why I was never into this sort of New Wave music.
