Surely, Ralph McTell's finest song.

The lyrics of this song are brilliant but ignore the needs of those who can't 'get their own.'

The Who, Tommy, Pinball Wizard. A remixed & digitally remastered version.

The OH rearranged her atelier, where to install a simple old JVC cd combi-set. Two very simple speakers. Okay, try out with Tommy, chair four meters away. A sound experience to my surprise, an incredible wide sound stage, drums from the left corner, things happening also somewhere right, sound floating away from these two tiny speakers. A total sound immersion. Coincidence of room characteristics and modern recording techniques, clever phase shifting etc.?

Today talking to a friend on Facebook today, he asked if I knew that a joint friend of ours was in a group, well a trio anyway. The chap on the right is Roy Davies, ex pro with Reading, Torquay and Wimbledon and a few semi pro clubs and even a short spell in Finland. Anyway just to say we had some real good times together and he is commonly known as mad as a box of frogs. His antics both on and off the field were quite bonkers, anyway here he is and I am told the lady is his partner/wife. I'll find out in the week.
