I have a very small complimentary pension from Humanis. Today they sent me a letter saying that I qualify for a completely free 'aide à domicile momentanée'. This is a helping hand offered if you fall sick and are consequently temporarily unable to carry out daily tasks such as housework, preparing meals or even just shopping.

:D It could be a huge help if you are ever really in a fix... perhaps a bit like having a fire extinguisher handy. The fact that all pensioners with Humanis are entitled to this aid is really great.
I think I get the same from ARRCO-Carcept the providers of my transport industry pension. As you say, nice to know. :)

Got our overseas voter forms in the post this morning.
Been here nearly 17 years now so must be a cock up.
If the two main protagonists can lie through their teeth I ain't gonna complain when it's two votes against 'em. :D

When we were still allowed to vote, we got one each for both candidates in the Euros, UK and France.

Of course we disqualified ourselves from one of them.

Just ordered a complete dash assembly for my old Pug 806 which failed it's CT 'cos the screen showing the kilometrage was duff.
183€ inc. carriage & 3 months guarantee from a breaker in Holland specialising in peugeot/citroen parts.
The old gal's 19 years old & parts like this are like rocking horse sh*t so this place could turn out to be a good resource for those of us trying to keep our beloved beasts on the road.

You should think about buying a cheap one from the UK and keep it for parts and sell bits off.

I do not care who wins now. It's lose lose for most people now.
