A concert at our granddaughter’s school, where her year group of 90 7/8 year olds were playing ukeleles and singing fun songs while playing. It was really good, the culmination of a 2 terms of music lessons. Her state primary school provides a really wide variety of opportunities of musical, artistic, indoor and outdoor activities for children from pre-school age up to 11 year olds, plus academic standards are high.

Plus, our travel insurance company has agreed our claim for cancelling our trip to France and is transferring the money - nicely in time for our trip to Torquay next week.

Having woken really early today I went into the garden, watched a swooping of long-tailed tits zooming between the fence, apple tree and fence, just lovely.

Just watching our daft cat up a tree trying to play with a family of 5 magpies who are always just out of reach. The magpies are jumping from branch to branch whilst seemingly giving the cat the bird :D
It's been going on for about 15 min now & neither cat nor birds seems like calling time.

Taking the train to Torquay for a short break.

It was very relaxing, although the loud-beaked seagulls have been working hard at counteracting my relaxed state. Judging by the mess they leave, they must be the size of albatrosses.
