After 4 abortive attempts to deliver a new double oven to a depot in the UK ready for dispatch to France, it finally arrived there today. The 4 previous attempts included non delivery of no less than 2 damaged ovens (both damaged whilst in the 'care' of the couriers).

Now the oven just has to survive the journey to France .............

Hopefully this time next week I'll be able to add another comment to this thread.

Gosh why didn't I think of Darty ........... :?

Perhaps because I learnt early on that Neff do not sell the model I wanted ............. except in the UK and Ireland. It's Neff who made my life complicated :(

I'm in the market to buy a load of paint very soon. Do you recommend Screwfix?

I dunno...I will tell you when it arrives.

Hopefully they have not used your courier company. I would like the paint to still be in the tin.

Hear, hear to that. Arrow XL must be the worst nightmare courier for any UK online company. On my order alone they wrote off 2 ovens (value about £1500) and the associated cost of a lorry/van and 2 man crew making 5 delivery journeys. What a load of time/money wasters they were.

Wish you a full and quick recovery bubbles1.

Got confirmation today that I will be getting reimbursed for the faulty tyres that had to be replaced on my car in February. Should have a cheque early next month.
