Excellent Desert Island Discs today with David Baddiel as the castaway. If you missed it, for those IT challenged folk like me, it's worth listening to Friday's repeat.

Bon dimanche,

Didn’t watch it. I’m not into tribute bands.
Then why bother to post a reply unless it was to express your disdain about a tribute band (what?!)? Perish the thought. I guess you didn't watch the match either.

Syd.
Listen to Revolver, Magical mystery tour and Sgt Pepper and you will hear a superior version of anything that Gallagher has come up with since. Posing as being original doesn’t make you original but not bad for a tribute act although his brother does it better. You’re right about the footy too.
Don’t walk away in silence.

Not a sport you associate with the radio.

Had a lovely, though hard working day at a residential singing weekend in a huge house with lovey countryside, fresh cherries and strawberries, home made vin d’orange (me) and liqueur de mures. Great time reconnecting with friends and organising our next meeting. And then choir practice tonight. Nicely exhausted...

Me too, I watched it live for nowt on Channel 4 and quite enjoyed it. Not brilliant, but it has to be said Ricciardo drove a splendid race to hang on to the lead in a dying car and his team mate Verstappen did well after starting last to carve through the field and finish in the points in 9th place. Team Red Bull is looking a bit tasty. Six races in, and three different drivers/teams with two wins apiece.
