What bothered me today in Sainsbury was that the checkout staff were not wearing latex gloves. I mentioned it at the customer service desk and they looked taken aback.

I don't know about you but if I was handling goods and money all day I know I'd want at least some PPE.

We're still in the playing at it phase.

In fact OH and I were the only ones wearing gloves.

"Playing at it" seems a good description. Boris and the two advisors today came up with recommendations that appear to be voluntary. Bojo seems to think that will be enough for the general public.

Our d-i-l is travelling to York tomorrow to meet a friend and have a day out. She will be travelling on a train originating in the UK CV outbreak - London. But she's going because she's already bought the ticket.

I give up. I really do.

Same old nonsense.

Actually she's 50 and a cancer patient. But, for some reason, doesn't respect my opinion on any medical issue. It's a problem.

Yep. It's not a game this Coronavirus, so why play with it? Human decision-making can be awfully odd sometimes.

There was some numpty on here the other day who is in a high risk group and didn't seem at all concerned.

There's no real excuse for the selfishness of those that don't follow the advice. If they get it they deserve it but they will pass it on to those that don't deserve it. Craziness.

I was interested to see that my local Lidl is encouraging customers to use cards not cash to cut down on handling money.
