Been to Ikea today and feel totally in despair as the usual bad customer
service has now established itself there

I cut some material and followed the instructions to price it but the machine
failed me every time. Eventually I found an assistant to do the job.
She accused me of not cutting the material properly (?) it was a perfect
1 metre as her own measuring proved, then the machine failed her , but it
was my fault for naffing it up and when I asked her to inform 'the Direction'
that the machine was naff she replied that they already knew !!!!

The farmers have been dumping it in the fields here and its not a pleasant smell.

Went for a lovely day out in the Cévennes, sunny and 28C with a gentle breeze. Wandered around St Jean du Gard’s market followed by a walk. Somehow it feels like a Sunday evening - maybe I had too much sun!

Definitely off to work today, no A/c in the van so have to leave early to avoid the heat.
