The monitor that records unusual heart activity is implanted under the skin on the chest with just local anaesthetic, a couple of stitches afterwards, took a very few minutes, including how to use the activator that you press if you feel any symptoms, such as dizziness etc. My husband was discharged from hospital straight afterwards.

It’s amazing what devices are available to us these days.

Thank you for the good wishes.

My husband won’t be covered by our travel insurance for 12 weeks, and by then it will be too hot for us if it’s normal summer weather in the Gard - we bought for autumn, winter and spring, knowing how brutal summer temperatures could be there.

We’re thinking I might fly over for a couple of weeks on my own in June if he continues as he is now - he snapped back to normal after a good night’s sleep.

Going to buy a milkshake and go looking for Yaxley-Lennon to see if I've still got it.

I’ve been removing a sticky, plastic dressing from the untreated wound on my husband’s head, trying not to pull his hair nor pull hair out.

It didn’t look too good with all the matted blood, but after using antiseptic and sterile water And plenty of wiping it’s looking healthier. The dressing and stitches on his main wound have to wait until Friday, seems a long time.

I could never have been a nurse, which is what I always thought of being until my teens - not that we were called teens then.

Hope Mr GG is feeling better. I would dread doing what you are doing Gardengirl as mysty has a very low pain threshold :D

Finished working and going to take demon a cycle now.
