Bargains UK prices

Post by mysty »

Plenty of bargain's in the UK just now, used car prices seem to be diving.
How come it's not happening in Europe.
I would not say the UK is any worse off than the European economy.

Used car prices are diving because it's too expensive and complicated to get spare parts from the EU now.

The commercants are far more dynamic in the UK. They are aren’t stifled by some of the fixed pricing laws seen in France.

Not sure it's either of these reasons, garages just seem to be cutting the prices.
Not that she wants a RHD but I can get a top spec X3 for half the price of one in France or Germany just now.
Not new prices but 3 years old models

I think that the UK market is more competitive - still.

I am looking at various power tools - (mainland) European sellers are within €1 of each other (and the manufacturer's price) - whereas hunting around in the UK you can find some really good deals - even with some countries VAT being significantly lower it still is cheaper to buy in the UK. Just saved £130 on RRP on some router parts only today - you seldom see this on European sites - I have been watching!

Anyhow, tell her she really, really wants a nice low mileage Toyota Avensis with only 43K on the clock - not some boring Bavarian box - and I do happen to know of a nice example of same.
