Okay you decide to move away from your roles and responsibilities- fair enough, you move to LA for a private life - fair enough but you then do an interview with Oprah Winfrey about it all - nah not getting it

Attention seekers get fed up with attention then get fed up with not getting attention and seek more attention.

Perhaps because unlike the British press, the story/ interview won't just be made up and they have control over the amount of information that they want to disclose of their private life. Having said that, I have zero interest in them or any of the 'royal'' family tbh, they are only there to reinforce the class structure.

It would be the same it they did a face to face televised interview in the UK though, they would have control, agree about the press and print media

I'm not sure if they ever said they wanted to move out of the public light, simply that they didn't want to play the royal game any more.

Not so sure, anything can get tagged onto an interview before or after and I wouldn't trust any TV channel or interviewer in the UK and I also doubt very much that it would happen with Oprah so they do probably have more control with having the interview with her.

I'm no royalist but this is the kind of rubbish that's posted in the UK.

I think you have missed my main point, If you are going to move away from your life and start afresh why give an interview at all, to anyone ?

The general public are to blame IMO, the adulation people bestow on Royalty, celebrities and sports men/women fuels this crap.
