I’ve come to the conclusion today that the bon coin is filled with Russian mafia types.

They will probably try to negotiate something dodgy financially as well

What - like they send you 30K for the X3 to cover postage then want the extra back in cash?

No, I asked for a siret number and they sent a fictitious number not thinking that I would check it out.

You might ask for and check it, but there are probably 100s of others who won't and willl be conned. That isn't dumb, it's just what they expect to happen. One failure and 99 successes at, say, 10€ a pop and they're 990€ better off.

It's a real shame as LBC used to be an excellent place to check out goods even 5 years ago.
I bought 2 reconditioned laptops for OH and myself from a really super guy .. but looking today it's a chaotic mix of silly money being demanded for rubbish or highly suspicious good quality laptops at low prices.

A good friend of mine had some excellent buys and part furnished their home, including beautiful antique bed linen , although she’s not mentioned any more recently.

Actually, I’ve remembered that they sold their previous house to some very nice French people via LBC, got a good price and got on well with the buyers.
