There would be fewer spats on the forum if folk took time to read what's written or took into consideration the character of the writer. Too often some just don't get the joke and in their haste to be offended go off on one. And it can be quite predictable. I often alter the wording of posts because I know exactly who is going to take offence even though I'm writing in general terms.

But also if people didn’t write things deliberately designed to wind people up and get a reaction,it’s a two way street

How can you all get wound up about what people write on a forum? It isn't real life.

I know a couple of people from here in real life and they are nothing like their forum personas ( except maybe LD) .
