I am on 98 mb/s. But it is VDSL2 and still over copper. Plus fortunately I am about 150m from the exchange.

Almost all fibre-provided Internet travels the final stretch to the property via wire unless you have fttp (fibre to the property). Most fibre is either fttc (fibre to the cabinet) or fttn (fibre to the node) which use wire as the final connection the the property.

I know Three people in my area who have had problems with Orange lately twohave had good wervice and the problem sorted out within 4 days orso - one who is still battling.
