The PM debate has happened on most forums at one time or the other.

At the end of the day, if you send a private or personal message you have a reasonable expectation of privacy, but no rights.

However that message is on a server somewhere so it isn't private, somebody (although not moderators) can read it.

No such thing as privacy unless you use an encrypted communication platform.
