MARMALADE ORANGES

Post by Loup-garou » Tue Feb 11, 2020 5:16 pm

I had to ride shotgun for Mrs LG this morning as she passed through Leclerc.

To her surprise they had Amer Oranges out on the counter. Apparently it is not often you see them so I thought some may like to know. :good:

They turn up each year about this time in a local green grocer. Thirty jars already bottled for this year. Never seen them in supermarkets here. I'm in Aveyron.

I don't eat marmalade it's too sweet for me. I just make it. Our French CdH guests demolish it!

I made some special less sweet marmelade this year. You just need more oranges and less sugar!

I don't like whisky in the marmalade. The whisky spoils the marmalade and the marmalade wrecks the whisky....

I’ve not been able to find any this year, even in Biocoop. Thought the season had finished so will continue to look for them....
