Sorry for the thread drift, but

I consider myself a serious woodworker and would never use a table saw without a guard in place, I consider it stupid to do so, the problem is that most guards that come with most table saws are in the useless category, especially where dust extraction is concerned, pic below shows the modifications I made to my table saw before I would even consider using it.

Finally, we have some time for our own jobs and Archy is out there right at this very moment with drill, hammer and wrench not sure about the wrench :? He's not having a good time with it so I'm staying out of the way at the moment hence the reason I'm on the forum!

Edit: oh dear a couple of hours on and the cyclinder has been drilled out but the shoot catch wont move - I believe a saw is about to come onto the scene.
