Didn't spot the washing liquid, not the same brand as ours.

What..exactly..is that.....room ?

You have tiled up from the floor.

Is that to protect against floods ?
There are two clues, gonzo, pretty obvious what room it is.
Nope I'm lost...what room is it ?

Is it a bathroom ?

Previous owner of our house built a lovely little box in the side of the fireplace, I put the odd few euros in for my grandson to find,

It is always good to have a secure place to hide stuff from burglars, etc. I built one behind a bathroom cupboard on my liveaboard boat. Open the door, lift out the shelf. This exposed a little hole that with a small pointed thing like a pen, could be used to slide the false back panel to one side. Tadaa! Hidey hole big enough for passports, valuables, firearms, chocolate, etc.

If you have the modern hollow doors best place is to make an insert in the top you need a step ladder to find it

If not use one in the garage or barn I can never find anything
