I hope they're found soon. That's relatively close to us and the farmers round here have lost a lot of calves over the last few months. Some are saying to a wolf, others to big dogs. If these two appear in the wrong place they might not get a second chance. 😢

Yes, big dogs, especially wandering in pairs will be very suspicious to a farmer. By chance the morning I posted that I was, within the hour, passing through Firbeix and took the contact numbers with me just in case, but saw nothing.

I have, on 2 occasions in the past, rescued dogs in imminent danger wandering on busy roads, stopped, opened the door to reveal my opened cage, and they have both jumped straight in.

I've just clicked on the links to the dogs' reports that I posted and they are both showing as still being absent.

This could mean that they are still missing, although I suppose it could be that the owners have them back and haven't bothered to cancel.

I can't remember my own experience now, it was many years ago when I reported the loss of my Beauceronne on that site (which is why I get all reports covering the Dordogne) and I found her myself after a couple days. What I can't remember is if I reported her recovery or if they beat me to it and sent an update request.

But I do know that a couple of times when I have clicked on a link, and the dog has already been found, it is reported, but not linked back to me.

So fingers crossed for these 2. :)

I had a look just now and it appears they've been found. Good news! :good:
