That's encouraging.
Maybe I should have gone with does anyone have a PC with autocad preinstalled that they'd like to donate to the Ally Just Wants to Draw a Few Plans Project. You never know.

What is wrong with the Win/Mac/Linux FreeCAD https://www.freecadweb.org or LibreCAD https://librecad.org/#download
Or the free version of SketchUp https://www.sketchup.com/plans-and-pric ... tchup-free

Then there is this Android selection https://androidappsforme.com/cad-drawing-apps-android/

Yes if a Compaq 386 with 120mb hard drive and Autocad release 11 (IIRC) from 1992 will do the job.

I still have and prefer to use my A1 desktop drawing board and all the drawing instruments from my apprenticeship.

Couldn’t you have asked a week ago? I had a clear out and I’m pretty sure I threw a planning cd out. Will have a look later to see if I still have it to give to you.

If only I could solve the mystery of my missing drawing instruments, that would do. Somewhere too, there's a CD and a floppy disc with a mid 90s version of AutoCad Lt but that'll be as much use as a chocolate kettle.

Is it such a ridiculous idea Aardvark? You get apps for everything else.

Onshape 3D CAD - Apps on Google Play

I tend to use 3D software, as the CAD I have always used (Catia, Solid Edge, NX) tend to generate 3D parametric models where the 2D views are extracted with ease. I realise the autocad tends to generate in 2D which is probably now only the norm in the architectural world.

Somewhere in the barn is my old PC with fullblown AutoCad (Isambard Kingdom Brunel Limited Edition) on it but a lot of the internals got recycled so no :D
