If there is some growth I would certainly give them another season,a little tlc and keep your fingers crossed.
Soak the base of the tree and put a good four or five inches of mulch around it. This should help keep the moisture in the ground a bit longer. Good luck!

With the greatest respect, if 'global warming' is happening because of normal, cyclical changes within the universe, events which have been happening since the dawn of time, just how are we supposed to 'stop the planet overheating' :roll: We may or may not have speeded events up a bit, but change will happen anyway. That's not to say that it isn't a damned good excuse to tax everyone and everything. It's working like a charm so far.....
