Revolting school kids

On French tv (fr3) today the schoolkids from the lycees are demonstrating. According to a nieghbour they are joining the "yellow vests" in revolution because their exams are too hard. Macon had better beware he does not lose his head. :o

Paradoxical that this is the week France banned spanking (of children that is) :D

Blimey, is that correct, corporal punishment in French schools banned only a few days ago? I thought England led the world in physically punishing its schoolchildren, something which was banned in state schools as late as 1986, but it seems we're no longer in first place. What an indictment.

The law encompasses corporal, verbal and psychological punishment or abuse, both in schools and at home. Even shaming or shouting at a child is not allowed. How that can be effectively policed is another matter.

:shock: I believe it is still legal to smack your own children in England and give a nanny or child minder permission so to do.
