Carte Vitale attestations

Post by ajm » Mon Mar 11, 2019 3:23 pm

Our CV attestations which we were sent last year had an expiry date of 29/03/2019 ( not sure of the signifance of the date ), but have just checked with ameli and they now run to 03/2020. So if you have concerns it's worth having a look.

They always only run for a year at a time I think, we printed new ones for our CdeS application.

It rolls forward, so every time you print one it will have a different date.....unless of course you print 10 times in the same day.

Thanks Hereford and Catrose but you are missing the point of my posting. We have never had to print off an attestation in the past. We have just updated our CVs on a regular basis at the chemists. In December last we were sent, without us asking for them, attestations which only ran until 29/03/2019. As of yesteraday that was the cutoff point but now the CPAM have seem to have decided that we can stay in the system at least for another year.

I wonder why they bothered to send one? i don't know anyone who does anything other than print them when they need them. Since as soon as you print a new one the previous one is invalid then an attestation sent by post could be meaningless by the time it arrives in your letterbox.

(And yes I update CV at a borne somewhere, but you need a printed attestation for non-health related admin taasks.)

I think it was probably the prefecture having a panic attack about Brexit.

Thanks for this as it reminded me to check the status of my wife's attestastion. Unlike yours which you said expires in the next century, this had an expiry date of 29 March 2019 which stubbornly refused to alter whenever I checked it, although mine always showed an expiry one year from the date I did this online. Today when I logged on to the Ameli site and checked the attestation for Mme Diamond it showed the expiry as 11/03/2020. Result.

Not sure of the significance of the 29/03/2019 expiry date - are you serious?!! Possibly something to do with Brexit?

Syd.

France have said they'll honour S1s for two years after the exit in the event of no deal.

They must be very lax down my way - I took my attestation into the Prefecture for my CdS appication, where the young lady pointed out, but no big deal, that I should get a new one as this expired in 2013! She even told me how to do it and had me out in twelve minutes flat with CdS nicely put to bed!
