Re: British television

Spoil away people, the BBC has blocked my laptop, and I mean totally - I can't even open their webpage for news, listen to the radio, anything. Totally blocked, so I won't be watching anything now. I've mentioned it to Smart DNS proxy, my hitherto means of accessing BBC TV on the laptop. They admit...

Re: Mesh wifi

Its still quite early days for Mesh systems - Not really, they’ve been around since the very early ‘80s Not really - that's like arguing we've had PC's since Babbage. Simple plug and play mesh systems for the consumer market are recent - we're past first adopter stage but its still very early doors...

Re: Mesh wifi

These create a "second" network - they don't just extend the existing wi fi - you can from the bumph control "guests" access speed etc as well That sounds exactly what I need, excellent :good: :good: Can these be harwired to each other as I already have ethernet cabling between the main router, gue...

Re: Mesh wifi

I actually ordered one yesterday - Chinese brand. Good reviews given its less than a third of the price of the main players. Our internet struggles beyond the one floor - and work means the living room will be a building site for a while. Looked at the standard plug in extenders - thought wonder wha...

Re: What are you doing today?

Doing an impression of John Cleese and a mini ...... with more f***s c***s and bastards. Mower still persecuting me - I will now wait patiently for a new carb or a man who knows what he's doing. Either way beating the crap out of the mower and shouting at it didn't work either.

Re: Wisdom teeth....... again

I had 2 and 2. They were all meant to come out in one go - but the first two were jammed against "proper" teeth. The most miserable 90 minutes ever - local - it looked and felt like the 16th Century - I was way over my appointment time and pleading to stop after 2. That was vile - everything got inf...

Re: Ride on Mower - Help

May be a fuel blockage, in filter perhaps. what type of ignition ? I was thinking knackered coil. https://www.briggsandstratton.com/na/en_us/support/faqs/browse/fuel-in-engine-oil.html New fuel filter - coils fine - fuel flow is fine. I've done A B C - my alphabet runs out after the basics - yes th...

Re: Ride on Mower - Help

Nope - ejection Gets odder - the idle speed screw - can make the engine rev faster but cannot make it slow beyond a certain point. Just had it mowing without issue for 20 minutes - then back to buggered. There's a sweet spot on the hand throttle where it'll engage the baldes and mow - any higher sta...

Ride on Mower - Help

I hate engines. They make no sense and they are the bane of my life. Remember I may understand the physics but I'm cack handed, Long Story .... Ride on mower – Briggs and Stratton engine. Wouldn’t start or started and stalled. New plug – cleaned carb – new air filter. It ran for 4 hours – had to be ...
