Re: No one else concerned with what they are seeing in the US just now?

I find it strange that us on this forum being rosbifs resident in France, the majority on this thread are stressing about what is happening in the USA and the UK. Maybe the current situation in France is beyond them? On this thread its to be expected given the title but on the rest of the forum in ...

Re: No one else concerned with what they are seeing in the US just now?

Agree it is depressing Jackie, even more so when I listened to the black professor earlier today who gave a gentle and timely reminder that we shouldn’t just talk about the US but also about the racism in the U.K. I would extend that to the the rest of Europe too from what he was talking about. Yes...

Re: No one else concerned with what they are seeing in the US just now?

You all seem to be forgetting the 2011 England riots, more widely known as the London Riots, which were a series of riots between 6 and 11 August 2011, when thousands of people rioted in cities and towns across England, which saw looting, arson, and mass deployment of police, and resulted in the dea...

Re: Alan Sugar's message nails the UK press and media to the wall.

"Alan Sugar's message nails the UK press and media to the wall"? You're having a laugh, right? More appropriate would be, "Alan Sugar's message shows him up for the rich and privileged arse-kisser he really is." If the current situation is an example of the Government "doing their very best", God h...

Alan Sugar's message nails the UK press and media to the wall.

From Alan Sugar today A message to all our negative UK press – including Laura Kuenssberg of the BBC, Robert Peston of ITV, Beth Rigby of Sky, Piers Morgan of ITV, James O’Brien – LBC, BBC news in general, and all the other negative press. Journalism is missing the “mood” in this great country of ou...

Re: Emily Maitlis newsnight

Just pinched myself, I’m definitely real. :P You get real if you think living in a world where the press is censored is a good idea  Maitlis is an excellent journalist and told the truth unlike Cummings or Johnson. You need journalists like that when there is such a degree of corruption at th...

Re: Anybody used Cascamite glue recently?

I found the really old tin of Cascamite, branded made by Humbrol of model paints fame. The top was rusted on so after levering that off what was inside was caked, so broke it up and crushed it to powder Mixed some of it with water, it behaved exactly as the original complaint described - mush - left...

Re: Anybody used Cascamite glue recently?

I did the same as you did in the early eighties - repairing the separated halves of the mast on a firefly mark 1 which had a combination of alloy tube for the lower mast with a tapered wooden upper section, and I think I remember using Cascamite. Another damning review unfortunately:- Customer Revie...
